On Giving

The apostle Paul put it this way, "God loves a cheerful giver." The statement begs the question: does generous giving make one cheerful or is it that a cheerful person is more naturally inclined to be a generous giver? Perhaps it is some of both. What is certain is the connection between gratitude and generosity, between being a giver and being a follower of Jesus Christ.

On this page you will find resources to assist you as you cheerfully consider what your annual estimate of giving will be to the ministries and missions of Northfield Community Church. Included is a Giving Chart for you to use as you consider proportional giving and your tithe. There is also a primer on Christian Financial Stewardship that provides a foundational understanding of giving in the Christian context.

Also available to you is a secure online Estimate of Giving Form. You may complete this form as you would the traditional paper card that you receive and return via the mail or by bringing it to church. Once you have filled out the form, click on the "submit" button and your 2020 estimate of giving information will be sent via a secure link. You will then receive a confirmation email that your Estimate of Giving Form has been received.

"Each one of us must give according to what is in his or her or heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
